    Eat Protein 


    No matter what, your body needs a high-quality of protein at most meal and snacks. Besides providing energy for your body, the amino acids that make up proteins are responsible for just about every cellular function in your body as well. When proteins are digested and absorbed, they are broken down into amino acids; the body uses these amino acids to create, maintain, and repair muscles, hormones, enzymes, antibodies, and much, much more. If you commit to buying from grass-fed, organic, local sources - even better nutrition value and less harmful chemicals.

    Proteins are large compounds made by combining smaller acids. Proteins in the diet are known as macro-nutrients and contribute energy (calories) to the body. Each gram of protein contains 4 calories.

    There are 20 amino used to build proteins. Proteins that do not have all 20 amino acids are called incomplete proteins. Protein sources containing all 20 amino acids are referred  to as complete proteins. Choosing complete protein sources will ensure you are getting all of the amino acids that your body needs. 

    Some amino acids can be made in the body and are nor essential in your diet. Amino acids that cannot be produced by the body are called essential amino acids, which should include in your diet.
    Twenty percent of the human body is made up of protein. It plays a crucial role in almost all biological processes and amino acids are the blocks of it.

    A large proportion of our cell, muscles and tissue is made up of amino acids, meaning they carry out many important bodily functions, such as giving cells their structure. They also play a key role in the transport and the storage of nutrients. Amino acids have an influence on the function of organs, glands, tendons and arteries. They are furthermore essential for healing wounds and repairing tissue, especially in the muscles, bone, skin and hair as well as for the removal of all kinds of waste deposits produced in connection with the metabolism.
